This place looks very, very old from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. It is very old. And it’s been doing the same thing for a long time successfully. And the cooks and servers have all been there for years and they like...More

We were brought here by a tour trolley and we chose from a limited menu. Salads had been set on our table and we were delivered right to the table on arriving. Personable and pleasant server, Annie, handled our table of 7 nicely. The food...More

The building itself was so interesting and we got a pirate tour. Would highly recommend doing the tour. The food was overpriced and so-so.

Walked to The Pirates' House from our hotel. Good food and drinks! I had the trout and my husband the pecan crusted chicken. Both dishes were excellent. Our waitress was attentive and regaled us with stories of the area. There was a family with small...More

Visiting Savannah during working vacation. Intrigued by the Pirates House history and menu looked interesting. Building and decor definitely worth a visit but food unfortunately is a stage. I had the crab cake and shrimp and it just was far below that of other places....More

I would concur with earlier response. Came in a cab and was dropped off at door. It is an old building pieced together several structures, so there are some steps and unevenness.

The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Enthusiastically recommended by AAA, Food & Wine and Redbook.
