We drove a long way from our job site to try this place out because we heard good things. We were not disappointed. The three of us ordered different plates of Bar-B-Q and sandwiches. Each order was twice the meat expected. The smokey flavor was in all the plates. I will be back to try the ribs next time. Can't... More

Although we have lived near here for years, this was our first visit but will not be the last. We arrived a little after 11:00 and thought we would beat the rush, but there was a line that moved quickly. We both got the beef sandwiches, fries and tried the house bbq sauces. Everything was delicious. My husband even got... More

Don't let the facilities or the location be a reason not to stop here. There's a reason this place has been featured on the FoodTV network. The combinations of meats and the way they prepare them is something to experience. Often. Be sure to sample their various home-made BBQ sauces. The fries are deadly as well. Lunch rush can get... My only complaint with Chaps is that everything I have ever ordered is delicious and I can't ever decide what to order because I love everything!!! Their pork is amazing, husbands loves the pit beef, we both love the mac and cheese...I think next on my list to try is the gravy fries with meat...can't wait until my next visit!!

We came Superbowl Sunday at night and it was empty. We ordered the signature pit beef sandwich rare. It came on a fresh bun and rare, but cold! I think because it was in the evening things were not moving so they pulled it from the fridge. Yuch!

My family and I are frequent customers of Chaps. Their sandwiches are HUGE and the meat it so juicy! The mac and cheese is fantastic. My favorite sandwich is the Turkey Rachel it is deliciously addicting. I have NEVER been disappointed by service or taste. Chaps is by far the best pit beef/ hot sandwich shop in Baltimore. They are... More

I have been going here for many years. It is not in the nicest part of town. It sits in the parking lot of a strip club. Back in the 80's this club was called CHAPS 2000 and was one of the goto hangouts in Baltimore, by how times change. The owner of the club opened the Pit Beef place... More

We've been to the original Chaps but decided to try the new location because it was closer to 95. We were not disappointed. Same great sandwiches, very clean restaurant (we watched them cleaning the exhaust hoods while there, plus the bathroom was spotless), plenty of seating and excellent friendly service. We tried the corned beef Rachel, really tasty!
