I so wanted to love this place. Loved the look, service, but the food was lacking. I had the chicken pot pie and it was so incredibly over seasoned that I couldn't even eat it. I have never sent anything back and was hoping that the server would notice that it was barely touched so he would spare me from... More

We were seated at table between kitchen and bathrooms. There were other tables available, but no one had bothered to clear them.We waited ten minutes, and no one came to take our order- even though the blonde manager [owner?] and members of the staff were sitting at a table in the dining area near us. Crab cakes are wonderful, Chicken Pot Pie is delicious and the Turkey Dinner is the bomb! Leave room for desserts as they are homemade and they go quickly. We usually reserve our desserts before we even order of dinner. Everything here is tasty and delicious!

Enjoyed lunch at Cafe Hon recently. It's a good place to enjoy with friends or family with the standard sandwich menu. Service was good and the only drawback might be finding parking on 36th Street.

We drove up to the Avenue for Christmas shopping and had to eat at Cafe Hon again. The food is still really good and our waiter Manny was very attentive. There was even a Christmas parade out front, it made for a really nice day.

Have eaten here several times over many years. Still interesting but losing it's local feeling and becoming more of a "tourist trap." Food is good but over priced for the kind of place it is, especially the desserts -- $6.99 for a piece of apple pie with good filling but "flour and water" crust or a slice of stale coconut... More

This place has a great atmosphere and neat location. The food we had was very average, maybe we ordered wrong, but i hate saying that. The service was very good up until it was time for the check, even though the number of patrons had declined. It took way to long to get the check and pay. Would only try... More
