I love my home-town but Baltimore restaurants do have issues with consistency. Thankfully this has never been an issue at the Thames Street Oyster House. We have been coming here for several years and the food is always excellent. I love that they have a daily oyster list which has great descriptions of the flavor profile of each oyster and... More

I went down after wandering down the inner harbour into Fell's point - its so nice as you can walk all the way and browse in little stores - and then I ended at Thames Street Oyster House. The food was incredible - it was hard to select what I wanted on the menu - the oysters were all so... More

My wife, son and I were delighted by the atmosphere, food and service for a mid-afternoon lunch yesterday. We were greeted nicely and shown to our reserved table quickly. Our waitress was gracious and patient as we asked about the oysters of the day. Our selections were tasty and of different flavor and consistency as a result. All were good.... More

Saw how highly rated and wanted to take my wife for her birthday while in Baltimore. We were staying near Camden Yards and called for reservation. I was told that the cab ride would take 10-15 minutes. We allowed 20. It took close to 50. We received a message stating that our reservation could only be held 15 extra minutes.... More

The chef trained at Johnson and Wales in RI and there are no less than 5 references to RI on the menu, so here is how he stacks up against the real thing: Lobster roll: Connecticut style only, but among the best we ever had. Butter poached tender lobster on a properly buttered and grilled bun. $24 for a half... More

I came to this place because of the great reviews. It's very small and they close after lunch until dinner only serving oysters and raw bar so while I was there they turned away lots of people. The oysters and raw bar were great and I highly recommend them. However, I also ordered the caesar salad, fried oysters and crab... More

I had made reservations for our family to kick off our Baltimore trip right, but underestimated the travel time with traffic. I called to let them know we wouldn't make our reservation time, but did still plan on dining there that evening. When we arrived, I had two hostesses thank me for calling and they would have us seated as... More

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at this quaint restaurant in fells point. The atmosphere, service and quality of the food was excellent. Our server Teresa was attentive, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with oysters on the half shell. The selection of oysters was extensive. Our main course was scallops pan seared for me and grilled swordfish for... More
