This place has one of the best beer menus around. We've now come here twice in the past month just to get drinks before a show at Royal Farms Arena. It's also very close to the Hippodrome. The service was excellent and drinks were tasty. We've never had food here, but the place is definitely worth the stop-in for the... More

Alewife used to be one of our favorite places to go before a show at the Hippodrome, unfortunately it has gone down lately and we are taking it off our list. The past 2 times we have been there the food was cold. Last night my husband got the pepperoni pizza mac, which is mac and cheese with pizza sauce... More

This is a beer pub with a limited food menu. Found it on Triple-D and checked the menu online. Food looked interesting but three items we wanted were no longer available. Of the 2 items featured on DDD, pork belly and wild boar sliders, one was not on the menu and the other they ran out of that night (6:30... More

Alewife, that's who. We arrived at 6:30 before an 8 p.m. show at the Everyman Theater to find that they were out of red wine, out of Jameson, and out of two items on the menu. We realize that Alewife is primarily a bar, but Forno, next door, was fully booked. None of the meals (there were four of us)... More

Portions were too small. No circuses, although shown on the website. The previous chef left. Think the restaurant is in transition. Service good, but restaurant was dirty. No paper in bathroom. Sorry food tasted great, but no presentation!!!

We've gone in the past and the food was amazing - couldn't decide what we liked best. Now it's pared way down - 3 of the 6 entrees were burgers. I had one - it was nothing special. The beer selection is still nice but they were out of a lot for some reason. Hopefully they get back to their... More

We were traveling north past Baltimore and I always look to see if there are any places from Diners Drive Ins and Dives. This place popped up so we went . I had the regular burger which is really two thin burgers with cheese bacon and done special sauce. No fries in duck oil the fries were just ok. Hubby... More

's too bad this place seems to be struggling at the moment. It's a nice place to grab a bite before heading across the street to catch a show at the Hippodrome Theater. Last night's visit was really disappointing. While not totally horrible, still bad enough for my wife and I to have decided that we won't go back again.... More

After seeing this restaurant on TV it became a must see. I originally was going for the food but it was noon and they don't start serving until 4:00pm. We were about to leave and saw the bar and beer taps. There at least 50 taps plus bottled beer. If you can't find a beer here it hasn't been brewed.

Wonderful food (try the massive burger) and incredible beer list! We love going here before Orioles games. Be aware: you will need a reservation for a table before showtime on nights where the Hippodrome has a show. Once the show starts, the place will be back to normal.
