You feel you have stepped back in time when you enter the Fort Davis Drug Store & Hotel. It reminds me of the 1950s. There is a very long soda fountain counter and various booths. The hamburger and fries are very good and there is a nice salad bar as well. A very nice eating experience.

I hate to write this review, because we had a good time at the hotel, but there are major concerns vacationers need to know about. Things that need attention NOW! 1. The fire escape at the end of this 2 story is; a metal ladder tied to the rail with a rope on one side, Pic 2. Many of the... More

Cute restaurant with a old fashion soda fountain. Get the malt, they are delicious, you can actually taste the malt favor. Their hamburgers are very good, I ate the patty melt. The food is fresh and tasty. They are closed on Saturday, but are open on Sundays as well as other days.

We stopped here for lunch, and enjoyed the salad buffet. There was also an old fashioned soda fountain, but the prices were a little high for ice cream. The fudge was also expensive, but we had to try the peanut butter fudge and it was delicious!

Cycled into town from Davis Mtns State Park and had lunch here after visiting Fort Davis NHS. Kind of reminds me of when we'd go to a drug store in my home town to eat when I was a kid - a soda fountain, good food, fudge, ice cream ... nostalgia time. Worth a visit when you're in town!

We made the decision to eat here on our way out of Fort Davis. I felt the waitress/only employee we could see verged on being rude. Or perhaps she is just not a friendly person in a business where she should be friendly. Or perhaps she had a bad day. As I said, it was not overt but didn't win... More

We did not expect that this place would be so good. It is very small, but a great location. We stayed at the Balmorhea State Park and came over to eat. They are not open on Saturdays - or I could say we ate there twice on one trip.

rustic building and furniture. this is a converted part of the far west texas history. the hotel is clean, big rooms, and a nice sitting area in the front of the building, allowing a place to read or meet friends without everybody having to sit on the beds. this is a small town without much night life. the restaurant closes... Ver nice atmosphere at this restaurant/hotel. The restaurant-shop area is very clean and the tables are surrounded by merchandise, a fudge bar, salad bar and soda fountain (old style) counter. We only had a vanilla ice-cream shake, but it was very good and the service was excellent. The menu looked pretty reasonable with burgers and even veggie burgers at reasonable... More
