The menus hsa been pared down considerably, and so has the quality. Nice ambience, but now is more live a college hangout where cheap alcohol is more important than quality food. (And yet the food prices are still the same), The quality has dropped.Hint: you can do both if you care. Service is fine, clean, but can't say I want... More

The food was not tasty. My chimi had been microwaved too hot and the cheese burned. Burning cheese smells really bad. The meat in the chimi was greasy. The waiter stared at something out the front window while he was taking our order. He seemed very bored and really not interested. Not a very welcoming sign. The table we were... More

Great, authentic mexican food. Kind of hidden, off the main road next to Publix. Got the fajitas for 2 (alot of food )......could serve 3. We all got different things, hands down. ......food was fabulous!!!! Will definitely return.

Finding great Mexican food in the Southeast is nearly impossible, so given that, I found the fare at Castillo de Mexico to be better than that of most Mexican restaurants with prices that were decent. The beef flauta was acceptable, the refried beans were somewhat sweet, and the tamal was pretty good.

We were out and about and decided on an early dinner. We were going to visit the Publix for groceries and decided to have a bite first. Mexican seemed like the choice for the day! We thought we would try Castillo as something different as we had driven buy numerous times but had not stopped in. The restaurant was cool... More

Started with a margarita finished with a margarita. Chips and salsa, 3 enchiladas, rice and beans in between. I asked for changes from their regular menu items and they graciously accommodated. Fast service and clean atmosphere. Conveniently located.

My wife and I were looking for a vegetarian dish today. We ordered the cheese enchiladas with the house ancho chile sause. The enchiladas were soft and flavorful. The sauce was full bodied and delicious. The rice side dish was moist and well made. There was even a clever dish of cubed potatoes with the skin on mixed with a... More

I came into the restaurant as a single female, for dinner. I waited at the hostess station for several minutes before anyone came to seat me. I was greeted with a smile, but then seated off of the main dining room in a dark alcove all by myself, while other diners were seated in the front of the restaurant. It... More

Good authentic Mexican food, friendly staff and good service. I have been several times and love the stuffed poblano peppers. The refried beans are excellent and the yellow rice is moist.

Jorge met me with a smile and I was directed to a nearby booth with an open archway to another section of this cute restaurant located on Beach Blvd. the interior here is sprinkled with modern art and clay. They have a full bar. The signature cocktail list is extensive. Castillo's dessert menu provided the normal fare of flan and... More
