Their french onion soup was great! First time I've ever had it where they put the beef in it too! We were seated downstairs so we really enjoyed the quaint atmosphere, with candle light and the sound of running water. Cool place!

The Dobbin House Tavern is my favorite hidden secret in Gettysburg. The atmosphere is great, it's mostly only candlelit in the tavern because it's downstairs. I had the best filet mignon of my life last time we were there; so good that I keep telling...More

Twelve of our RV group had an early dinner. Couldn't ask for friendlier service. Everyone's dinner was wonderful. Crab cakes, sirloin, pork, shrimp, roast beef. No one had a complaint. Fresh bread, salad, & choice of potato included. History for dinner, what more can you...More

I think the tavern is the best place in the whole building. Very period. With candles and atmosphere over flowing. Food is great. And drinks are interesting. Do not miss this reasonably priced treasure

I went to the Dobbin house for a dinner during my recent stay at the National Fire Academy. The service was amazing, food exceptional and the historic value cannot be matched. This is a "must stop and visit" restaurant and establishment!

Had a nice group experience. We had a group breakfast and a group lunch. I would have preferred to order off the menu. However, we had several selections. Next time, I would just like to eat in the tavern.

The period staff attire, the fun menu and the quality of the food are all fantastic! If you're looking for a great place to have dinner, the Dobbin House won't disappoint

Got a table at the last second due to a cancellation. Staff were friendly and gave a brief history of the house. We ate in the old library. Food was very good.

When I went in October, there was just the one tour daily at 10 a.m. However it is always best to check them directly as schedules can always change.
