You might be overwhelmed at the sheer amount of candy varieties here, as well as the obscure brands of soda, none of which I could drink, as I've given up all soda for health reasons. I did buy one Bonomo Turkish Taffy, an old brand of candy that's made a comeback. The owner is a very pleasant guy named Mike,... More

We especially like all the retro articles they had available. I'm sure it was ok that we were only in Gettysburg for a day, or it could have been a "sweet" vacation..

We absolutely LOVE going to Sweeet! Always feel like a kid again seeing all the candy I've forgotten. We also love the older and hard to find sodas. Mark and Cindy are awesome, fun and make it interesting as well. Do NOT miss out on Sweet when you're in Gettysburg!

Besides the candy that you can buy by the pound, there are interesting candy bars that can't be purchased in a drug store or grocery store. Plus the selection of unique sodas is fantastic. My personal favorite is Avery's because I grew up near where it is made. And the store is owned by the nicest husband and wife.

There is a large selection of taffy. There are many hard-to-find items. It is neat to stop in and look around. HOWEVER, the prices for common items are two to three times higher than normal retail at a box store; buy those items elsewhere - unless you are in desperate for a sugar fix.

The proprietor is a hoot...SUCH a nice guy. I love the huge assortment of new, vintage and hard to find items he offers. We never miss a visit every time we're in town.

What a great place for kids hound and old. Had a good time just looking at all the old time candy. Of course we had to buy some. One of the many great shops in town.
