Got a drink at the bar and then went outside to sit and watch the visitors enjoy Old City. From the outside, this place looks grim, but that is deceiving. Felt so comfortable there.

Four of us stopped in for some cocktails. We sat at a table by the bar and although it was empty, we waited quite a while for anyone to come to us. One of ordered something that they didn't have the liquor for. Two of us then chose something from the drink menu and were asked how to make it.... More

Monkey Bar is great for meeting for drinks and bar food but don't expect fine dining. I love the bartenders, they must hire them for their personalities because everyone I've met has been really personable and attentive. Not a date place but a great place to hang out with friends after work or before going to a movie at the... More

As stated previously the restrooms should be condemned by the board of health. (cooks use these when preparing your food, or at least OSHA) Have a beer and get out of Dodge. Go to 'Rotten Ralphs' one block further south.

Although this bar is in a very historic Hotel it could use some cleanup and restoration. The bathroom were really really bad. Only had 2, one wasn't flushing correctly and the other had a mouse in it. Won't go back till they've cleaned up the place, especially their rest rooms

Wandering around the city, stopped at the Monkey Bar with a group of colleagues with whom I was in town for a conference. The atmosphere is appealing. They advertise all sorts of fun drinks- spiked lemonade and all sorts of fun martinis, etc. I was going to order something themed from the bar, but after seeing and tasting two different... More

Situated on a corner but very good value for money for drinks and snacks. Not posh like some of the restaurants nearby but this is reflected in the price and dishes on the menu - ie snacks and beer. The servers are friendly and there are tables outside on the pavement if you want to sit in the open. A... More

Started out with restroom being unusable, disgusting! Then ordered cheesesteaks, I took 2 bites and decided that if I took another bite that I would be sick. The meat was rancid and undercooked the roll was stale, when I told the server that we weren't happy, he said he spoke with the manager and there is nothing he can do! So... More
