Typical "old" pub. Cold and inexpensive beers. Near my hotel. They have food too, but, we had just eaten dinner

My wife and I had lunch at Mace's during our first trip to Philly. The prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. The place looks like an old time pub and has dozens of beers available. Don't tell Pats and Genos, but we...More

Cheers 2.0. I've been to cheers in Boston, this place is 50% smaller with all the charm and lots of excitement. We stopped in after dinner because it looked exactly like the place I would want to experience. I wasn't disappointed.

Great place to sit outside while having a drink. They also serve food. Great place to watch the world go by.

It was cold, raining and generally miserable. Fridays up the street had a 30 minute wait, so we stumbled into Mace's. On the advice of a man just inside the door (an employee? the owner? a local? who knows,) we went up the narrow stairs...More

Good location good near Logan Circle and various hotels in the area. The bar is not very large but it was very comfortable the night that I visited. However, I might think differently had that the place been crowded. The menu is nothing to get...More

We had good memories of Mace's Crossing, went there often in years past. We visited again for a sandwich around 6:30 PM on a recent visit to Philly. We wish we hadn't. It was ungodly loud. The people at the bar were shouting back and...More
