Joe's (formerly Chinks) sits on the corner like something out of the 1950's. It looks like an old dining car from a train: long, narrow, silver on the outside with plenty of neon. It was my first night in Philly, a Wednesday, and I wanted a "steak sandwich". A friend recommended Joe's. So, I went there, and it took the... More

We are the Philly steak and cheese sandwiches and they were very tasty. They have a pickle and pepper bar. The service was great, the prices were decent, and we found a place on the side of the street to park close by.

So......we herd Fishtown was cool and took an Uber. As soon as we stepped out of the car the vibe was great and we were at the door to Joe's. What a cool retro shop-simple spot on menu with great cheesesteaks and fresh fries. You have to have a milk shake as well. This place was packed with a very... More

Stopped here for a late lunch after flying into PA from CO. Cute little neighborhood place. Great cheesesteak sandwiches, could've used a bit more cheese but the meat and onions were perfect. The milkshake was huge, should've shared one instead of getting 2.

Not bad for our first time here. People at the front could be a little nicer to tourists. Such gloom when serving food behind the counter

Whiz wit. I've had cheesesteaks at a lot of places from Jim's to Geno's to Abner's to Tony Luke's. This weekend my sister took me to Joe's. Hands down my new #1. Tender not too thin slices of meat, perfectly diced and tender onions, and a lot of whiz. No skimping on anything. Fresh and nicely chewy bread. A pickle... More

The restaurant is very small in a row home. Decor is stepping back to a 60's soda shop. I think the booths my still be from the 60's. The food is fantastic! The cheesesteaks are delicious. They offer a somewhat limited selection of cheesesteaks which I like. basic - steak, cheese, fried onions Whiz or sliced cheese the room is... More

Not only do you get fresh, yummy cheesesteaks, but their milkshakes are to die for! And I adore their pickle bar with lot's of fresh topping to add to your sandwich. Service is fast and friendly and I'm never disappointed.

Small clean diner that's very busy but turns tables quickly. The staff is hard working and friendly The French fries are crisp and come a lot of ways. There is a pepper and pickle bar. That I thought was needed. I found the steak sandwich a little one dimensional. Ordered with provolone onions and mushrooms. No real wow of flavor... More

I was visiting Philly for a week and a friend of mine told me I needed to try a famous Cheesesteak, they're really a thing from Philadelphia and I said yes. Since it was my very first time in the city I had the "normal" cheesesteak and I can't say a bad thing about it. It was HUGE and DELICIOUS,... More
