I've traveled many times to Sicily with my students and eaten many cannoli! These cannoli are AS GOOD AS the ones in Sicily!! Take it from a professore d'Italiano. Anthony Russo

Whether you're Italian and grew up eating these delights or not, you must come here for a true taste of Italian baking at its finest! Whether you have a hankering for Napoleons, chocolate dipped apricot cookies, chocolate chip ricotta cookies, cakes or any other confection you can think of, you must go to Isgros!

This is the place for cannoli - stop in, get a pastry and then go grab a cup of coffee and enjoy. The variety is ample, the staff friendly and the aroma always gets to you, delicious!

Had delicious eclair, cream puffs, and apple pie pocket. Tasty and not overly sweet. There was much more to choose from but we had to limit ourselves.

Friends said that this was the place for Cannoli. Having lived in the Philadelphia area for many years I had experienced good Cannoli and when I moved to Virginia they were scarce. I turned my friend onto them one year after a wedding and with her they became an obsession. My kind of obsession! I had been getting them at... More

what a wonderful pastry shop. All the old time pastries you remember can be bought here. Located on Christian Street in Phila .,right around the famous 9th street Italian Market. Great city atmosphere especially at this time of the year,Young couples carrying a live Christmas tree down the street ti their home.Doesn't get any better than that.

Cannoli shells hand filled with a variety of fillings -- you can get either sweet ricotta filling or a creamier filling based on mascarpone. The cannoli shells themselves are some of the best we've ever had. Anything with almonds or marzipan filling is great -- the almond macaroons, cookies with pine nuts (pignoli) or the mini almond cup pastries.

Stopped in today while we were at an event close by. I bought my sister and a family friend for their first and most likely last visit to Isgro's. While this used to be one of my favorite bakeries ever, today's experience likely changed that. The ladies working behind the counter were rude or came off as being "bothered" to... More

Forget cronuts and other new inventions and lofty ideas at bakeries; give me an old school Italian Bakery, where things are baked with love and from family recipies. This is Isgro. We were walking South Street on a Saturday, and I found the info for Isgro's, so we headed this way. It is a small bakery, with very sweet ladies working... More

Hard to choose with the lovely and large selection. I took the small Keylime Pie cake home and was delighted. This is a family run business that has been here in several generations. Wonderful to see that their clients are loyal and appreciate the tasty pastry and cannolis.
