But not only do you get Fine Operatic performances while you dine! They're live, and not all are operas...but these kids are great! Look out world! Oh, and the food is wonderful, the wine list is fine and the service divine!

This is a cool place. Did I say, this is a cool place? Very nice, friendly staff, perfect food and the best entertainment that money can't buy. These are talented people singing opera to the entire restaurant without any microphones. The staff are mostly students and are working in the music theater world. Some if not all will be rewarded... Whether you are a fan of opera, the Rocky films or good Italian food this is the place for you. First it is located in a residential area so either use the valet service or take a taxi or an uber. The decor is cozy and charming. The food is home style Italian well prepared and presented. my husband had... More

Such a darling place in South Philadelphia. All of the employees sing opera and the food is unbelievable. Pasta is home made, seafood and salads are fresh. Romantic and quaint.

We have been coming to the Victor Cafe since the mid 60s when I lived in Philadelphia. Now we visit when we're in town and are never disappointed in the food, the music and the ambiance. We arrived early to have a drink in the second floor candlelight lounge. It's quite lovely and is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.... More

Well, I certainly did not grow up listening to opera...I was more an oldies, Motown, Jersey girl kind of music lover...Radio stations were set to Jerry Blavat shows!!! (and he is still going stronger than ever)...but give the VICTOR CAFE one try and you certainly will become fascinated with the music of opera and the experience that the VICTOR CAFE... More

This was my second visit, this time in main dining room. Greeted at entrance by at least 5 staff with large welcoming smiling faces. Seated, drinks served while waiting for rest of our party. Lovely waitstaff, gorgeous voices, intriguing ambiance. Everyone enjoyed their selections from bread dipped in a basil garlic oil, salads and soup, pastas, chicken & veal. Finished... More

Delicious dinner - everyone found a pasta that they enjoyed! Calamari was delicious appetizer. Beautiful building - upstairs bar area was not open but beautiful room to just sit in. Casual atmosphere but lively with the singing. All the singers were excellent. Singing every 15 minutes or so... Would definitely go again. Not cheap but worth the splurge.

My husband and I visited Philadelphia for a family event. We arrived a day earlier so we could enjoy some sites, sounds and most especially tastes of the City of Brotherly Love. Originally, we wanted to dine at Bookbinders, But found out Bookbinders closed more than a decade ago, I searched for another place the was unique and part of... More

This was my second trip to Victor Café. Its got a local, homey feel. Almost miss it driving by, on a local side street. The bonus is the opera singing every 15-20 minutes. The wait staff are all trained opera singers, working tables in between gigs. The staff rotates through the singing duties, singing various operatic tunes, with a brief... More
