I booked for dinner based on the numerous positive reviews on trip advisor. I was a special occasion, we traveled all day to get to Philadelphia to have a great italian meal and we thought we would not be disappointed, but it was mot the case. We were told we had to check in our coats yet many of the... More

Very sorry to learn of your disappointing visit to Bistro Romano. We have called you at the name and number on your reservation to discuss the visit further, however no one returned our call. In the message we apologized and offered to invite the party of four to return as our guests. We take all reviews very seriously and candidly... More

Our group loved this place! Had a night out with my cousins and our husbands/wives and we had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, the wait staff was very attentive and the General Manager was very present and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Tucked in the first block of Lombard Street is this wonderful Italian bistro. We were early diners on a Monday evening so were among the first to be seated. The dining area is down a winding staircase and provides quiet privacy in booths and secluded tables. Classical music plays in the background. The service is professional, helpful and friendly. The... More

Local residents took us to this spot as we visited Philly. Charming spot, lots of ambience. The star is the food and service! The mussel presentation was to die for; caesar salad formidable. Seafood stew, tender gnocchi, succulent short ribs - food excellent. Nice intimate bar as well.

I actually found this restaurant through TripAdvisor and all the reviews were great so I decided to talk my best friend here for her birthday. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us anyway. Not too crowded for a Saturday night. Had a great selection of wines to choose from. Food was to die for! The... More

This restaurant is very special to me and my husband. Four years ago during hurricane Sandy my husband and I were just dating at the time. Now we are married and we decided to go far for our 4 year anniversary with my two siblings who are 12 and 14 years old. My siblings are very picky eaters. Well they... More

Second time at this restaurant and I was happy both times. Prices are fair, table side Ceasar salad was amazing, and our server Elena was really pleasant and helpful. I had the nocchi and it was awesome. I plan on returning again soon

What can I say but amazing. I live in South Carolina and needed to host a dinner and cocktail hour for 25. Rosie was the event planner and went out of her way to make certain everything was perfect. Our primary server was Vienna and she was a sweetheart, always anticipating our needs. I would recommend this venue to anyone.... More

Bistro Romano is a reliable go-to place for us, and never disappoints. The food is always outstanding, the facility still enchants after all these years I've been a customer, and the staff is always courteous and well informed. Anthony, the GM, truly cares about your experience, physically coming over to see if everything is to our expectation. We typically go... More

Was there for dinner. Started with a burrata on toast with mixed greens, tomatoes, and prosciutto , which I thought was well prepared and fresh. I followed with Barramundi (similar to sea bass from Asia or Australia) accompanied by mixed vegetables . This was also well prepared . I finished with a double espresso, which came with a spoon inside... More

Thank you for visiting Bistro Romano and for your comment about the espresso service. You are correct, a spoon should NEVER be placed in the cup. At Bistro Romano we adhere to service standards in place to surpass the expectations of our guest not disappoint them. We clearly fell short as our team is well aware of our service procedure;...
