My husband and I were in Philly for business and I was in the mood for sushi so we asked Google to direct us to a sushi place within walking distance, having no idea that this is the restaurant of the apparently famous "Iron Chef" Morimoto (I've never seen the show). Nothing about the exterior suggested that this was a... More

Wow!!!! The atmosphere is 5 star- for coolness!! It makes you feels like you are in another world. Waves of dark wood on the walls and lit up tables that change from color to color. Beautiful!! One of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to. The food....oh my!! 5 star as well!! I recommend the A5 Wagu. Definitely worth... More

The food, beverage pairings and service were all excellent. We really enjoyed our dining experience. However, the space needs to be "tidied up" a little. First, one of the front doors had a "please use other door" sign on it. When you pop $500 for dinner for two, someone should have gotten the door fixed. Second, our table was a... More

We came here for lunch during the week with a reservation made through open table. We were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waiter was friendly and professional. We shared two appetizers, a tuna "pizza" which was cold tuna on a crispy bottom with greens sprinkled on top. We also shared a spicy (not too spicy) shrimp... More

Some of the sushi was very good, but some was so fishy that we had concerns. The cooked dish I had was $37, had very little seafood, and lacked seasoning or any flavor, very bland. Each beer was $16. Everything would have been great if it had met our expectations, but based on the prices, it fell far short.

We arrived early for our reservation and were told that we would need to wait in the vestibule since the bar had a private party. Ok I get it. No biggie! At the time of our reservation we were told at it would be another 10-15 minutes. Ok. Still not a problem but starting to see a pattern develop. 10-15... More

This might be my third or forth visit to the fine establishment that presents the a truly memorable dining experience. Each aspect is finely tuned and a joy to behold. The environment is softly stimulating and the service absolutely first rate from entry to exit. Yes, incredible flavors await but what struck me on my most recent visit this evening... More

Hard to know where to start but every once in a while you walk into a restaurant and everything is just right. Knowledgeable staff helped us select a wonderful assortment of apps and mains. Tuna tartar and Rock Shrimp apps really stood out. Sushi was absolutely fresh with Toro available in melt in your mouth consistency. Well done all around.

Thank Fred M
