I love this place and never pass on a chance to eat here. Their food is as authentic to New Orleans as there can be. Get the Train Wreck Po'Boy and you won't regret it. Made with steak, andouille, salami and cheese with a Cajun aioli. Best sandwich ever made.

This restaurant is located in the Reading Terminal Market. If you like these kinds of markets; and hear I'm thinking about St. George's Market in Belfast (Northern Ireland), Oxford's Covered Market (England) and Minneapolis's Midtown Global Market; then you are going to love the atmosphere at Beck's Cajun Cafe. Wonderful aromas of diverse cuisines and many casual dining options, this... More

I ordered the seafood gumbo with white rice. My friend had the same over seasoned rice. You don't need the seasoned rice. I recommend white because the gumbo itself has plenty of flavor and it is spicy so have your water nearby. The cornbread was delicious too. And don't even get me started on the macaroni and cheese balls. Diet... More

We had a sample of the gator stew and the shrimp and crawfish etuffie. Decided to eat it over the jumbalia. My mouth was on fire! The food was spicy and hot. When it cooled down it was still spicy but you could taste the flavor. It was really good and I was sweating for a good hour after. The... More

Had the steak and egg Poboy. Best 4.95 breakfast I could've imagined. But what really stopped me was the the young lady who said hi as I walked by earlier. I stopped, looked at the menu and came back with 5 friends in tow...it pays to be friendly.

It was really hard to settle on a place to grab a late breakfast with all the options that Reading Terminal had to offer. But, I'm happy we decided on Beck's! The ladies behind the counter were so kind and patient, and let my husband I sample the gator gumbo, etouffe and chowder before we decided on our orders. My... More

Just eat here. That's the short and sweet of it. You will not be disappointed! We ate here twice within 24 hours! Coffee from Cafe du Monde....HALLELUJAH! (I may have had 3 or more cups of this fantastic coffee). Beignets that were powdered sugar pillow perfections! Jambalaya with just the right amount of heat! And the Fried Mac N Cheese... More

The inside scope of the Muffuletta sandwich is that the bread albeit a bit stale is simply great. The meat is delicious and the whole composition is very yummy. In spite of being super busy the service comes with a friendly smile

I was waiting in line to get a cheese steak bagel, and decided to jump ship to this place. Po Boy breakfast sandwich with Andouille sausage, an order of sweet potato fries, and corn bread. It was fantastic, though, simple. I ordered in the togo line, but then a seat opened up so I walked around to their counter. Goods:... More

My family had several Philly cheesesteak sandwiches in Philadelphia but none came even close to the train wreck. The cajun andouille and creole mayo gave just the right amount of kick. Also get some fried mac n cheese balls while they make your sandwich, not too much breading...a perfectly satisfying crunch on the outside with creamy macaroni inside. If I... More
