Very "in" place. The food and service were good, decor "chic", but not good for a date as the music and overall noise from patrons is so loud that you have to nearly yell at your table mates to be heard.

Enjoyed Sampan's 7 (I think) course tasting menu with a friend this past weekend. Highlights were the Pork Bao Buns, Sea Bass, Crispy Shrimp, and Filet Mignon. The food was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth divine, and came out at a perfect pace. It was also more than enough to fill me (also, at $45 per person, the meal was a GREAT value,... More

This Japanese fusion restaurant is extremely tasty and has a wonderful happy hour joined with the Graffiti bar behind the restaurant. The brussel sprouts are absolutely divine, and their beef dishes are tender with high quality beef. Great for a nice romantic dinner, or as a great happy-hour with friends (out back).

If you want a meal that is different and very tasty, then you should visit the Sampan. We went here after an afternoon concert on Friday and were seated immediately. We had pork bao bun, crab wonton, korean bbq beef satay, edamame dumplings, and a new dish that was shrimp and porridge. Everything was very tasty and unique. This amount... More

Loved this place! My husband and I went with friends, each of whom has some food issues. The server worked with us so that he and I shared one tasting menu and they another. It seems like it's going to be too much food but it's not. My favorite things among the seven included the duck fried rice, the fried... More

Sorry to disagree with the great majority here but I found this place very mediocre. The one bright spot--excellent, attentive service. But the ambiance is basically "loud bar" throughout the restaurant. The food was hot and fresh but the dishes weren't very good. I had the "tasting menu" which let me sample five different dishes. The tempura rock shrimp in... More

The ambience was great. Very attentive bartenders while we were waiting for our table. Try a Dragon Drink while you wait. Very tasty! The menu was more of a tasting type menu which was great for our husband and I to share. My favorites were the Crab Wonton Tacos and the Mushroom Dumplings. Yummy! Our server, Patrick, was fantastic. Thank... More

The food was excellent. We had the tuna rice cracker, the korean fried chicken - both great. Also had some sort of dumpling and a few other less memorable dishes. The Pork Bao buns were outstanding. Seems like most people eat family style (sharing plates), which is what we did. The beer selection was decent. Our server was very friendly... More

Although there are many great happy hours, In my opinion this place is the best. Everything on the happy hour menu is amazing, and priced well. Service is friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is great. This place is a gem

Run like a fine oiled machine. Kitchen ran smooth as we looked ...expeditor at close watch. Soup dumplings were delish. Pork buns yummy....fried chicken was juicy, calamari salad was fresh and flavorful as was the rock shrimp. We sat at the kitchen bar and eyed the action. Will definily get the brussel sprouts next time...they served tons! Food was great....only... More
