If you're looking for a nice byob on passyunk this is a great option. We sat outside and had sushi and people watched Owner couldn't have been nicer, we chatted about old places closing and new places opening and the changing atmosphere of passyunk Ave. Will def be back to this spot. Staff is very attentive, food is delicious and... More

My wife and I went to Izumi last night for a date night. We're very fond of sushi and go to lots of places for it. Last night's sushi experience was, without exaggeration, simply amazing. We had some of the best we've ever tasted. Ingredients were fresh and perfectly balanced. Rice was made to perfection, at just the right temperature,... More

We came here to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday and were very happy with our choice. The fish was fresh ( loved the white tuna off the menu). Service was knowledgeable and professional.

Came in late night. They were about to close and sat us anyway. (yes, we were that couple). They didn't rush us. It's byob and they offered us a house wine. We sat at the sushi bar. Service is excellent!

Let me start by saying the wait staff is GREAT. We were greeted right away and they had a table waiting for us. Parking in this area of the city is a nightmare. We were late for our reservation because of it, but they were very nice about it and held our table. Now... the first thing I noticed when... More

We walked in to Izumi for our favorite dish: Chirashi. We left having had one of the best chirashi dinners yet! Some of the fish prepared in the dish were smoked instead of raw and that made a huge difference in taste. The décor is inviting with big open windows to sit at when it is a beautiful day. Aside... This was our first time here, only because I thought it was a sushi restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We had dumplings, ribs, scallion and rolled beef. All excellent. The service was fast and friendly. Can't wait to go back. BYOB a plus.

I really enjoyed our time here and thought that the food was very good. Most importantly though, the fish was extremely fresh. For more pictures and commentary, check out www.gustatori.com.

I had the sushi & sashimi platter. The sashimi pieces were generous and fresh. I especially liked the seared red snapper. The fish on the sushi pieces were good but the rice portions were very small. The spicy tuna roll had the thinnest layer of rice and it wasn't spicy at all.

We followed their recommendation of the day and thus enjoyed a delicious octopus salad, followed by a mixed sushi platter. The Nigiri had too much wasabi between fish and rice, else wise very delicious. A recommended restaurant.
