It's a huge sandwich, not to be eaten alone. Great pastrami, perfect bread, sauerkraut, dressing and cheese. Quite a handful, but they will give you plenty of napkins. Great for lunch, open for an early dinner but closes promptly at 6pm. Busy so be prepared to wait in line. This sandwich is worth the weight. Don't forget to tip, the... More

Seating is always a pain at Reading b Terminal market but if you want something quick and good I recommend it. We fit the pastrami omelet sandwich on rye. It was very good. Served on real Jewish rye. Would come back.

Pastrami Ruben !! with sauerkraut Swiss Cheese hand carved lean pastrami all of which meld together for the most delicious perfect sandwich on the planet. Every time I pass thru Phili I detour to Hershel's. Every time perfect. Best Pastrami... More

This kind of delicious but decadent meat is not something we SHOULD eat everyday-- but, when you do, boy is it good! Tried the meat sampler plate-- a ton on there-- goo d way to try their options. All are good-- but the corned beef is my favorite!

A deli that can rival both Montreal and New York. This deli found in Reading Terminal Market offers a great smoked meat sandwich. Join the line and order, then watch as they slice and assemble your sandwich behind the counter. Fresh and awesome - great place to grab a sandwich.

Was craving some soup and wanted to try Hershel's as it's one of the highest rated places in Reading. Their matzo ball soup was among the best I've ever had, and their prices were very affordable regardless of your menu choice. Highly suggest! And get there earlier than later - they run out of some items!
