We chose this restaurant for its lovely faux swiss atmosphere. My lovely wife and I are fans of lamb shanks and order them whenever they appear on a menu before us. We both ordered the dish. It arrived hot and fragrant with the meat so tender it was falling off the bones. The generous sized portion of lamb had a... More

Being from Austria living in the US I looked forward to seeing some more authentic German dishes on the menu, but nothing really stood out, so we just ordered a pizza, which was a flatbread, the salad was ok but the service there is very very slow! We tried flagging someone down but they just walked by our table or... More

We wandered into the Yodler by accident, intending to have lunch elsewhere on the mountain, which was the happiest accident ever. The two of us have lunched at (counts on fingers) about 20 slopeside restaurants this year, in say 7 ski resorts. Yodler is the hands-down best of them all, at only 1.5 times the cost of what we'd paid... More

Great service, awesome drinks and wonderful food. This rustic bar and grill is a Mammoth staple and a must to visit. The only comment I would make is to increase you hours. 7pm is a bit early to close.

The Yodler closes early, at 7 PM, but is a nice alternative to the restaurant at the Mammoth Mountain Inn. Fun beer cheese fondue served with veggies and pretzel bread. Hamburgers are very good, as are the salads. No desserts on the menu but a full bar offers lots of alcoholic options for something sweet.

Charming alpine lodge style building. The menu has a few things which supposedly would be germo-austrian. We had the fondue for lunch which looked great but disappointingly the cheese seemed to be warmed cheese whiz style out of a can or jar - exactly like the cheap and nasty burger cheese you get in individual wrapped slices at the supermarket.... After getting a bit disappointed with all the large, dirty and overcrowded self service places I was quite happy we went to this restaurant. The food isn't exactly Austrian or German, and the cheese in the fondue a bit strange (not what's normally used in a fondue but some kind of processed cheese). However service was good and atmosphere much... More

We love this place! We've been coming here for 15 plus years. In the winter the fireplace bar is cozy and in the spring the deck is fun. It's perfect to just ski into after a great day in the slopes. Some of my favorite items have fallen off the menu( spätzle) but I have no complaints, the duck fat... More

Being right in front as you ride down the mountain, be hard to miss. But they does not mean they don't try to please. I had the chicken schnitzel sandwich, my mate the Waldorf salad? So the sandwich was huge, way more than you want to eat,if you are going back up the mountain . Unless you think the extra ballast... More
