This was my favourite meal of our visit to LA and Mammoth! We ordered the Himachi tartar, duck breast, pork belly and creme brulee and each dish was delicious. For fine dining, the portions were also big and very generous. I'm extremely picky with my meats but the duck and the pork was cooked to absolute perfection. Perfect balance of... More

I rarely get to eat at a nice restaurant in Mammoth due to the size of the groups that I'm usually with. The opportunity arise this time with just my wife and I so I decided to look for something nice. I was surprised to find Skadi and after reading the reviews and menu, I decided to make a reservation.... More

Lovely people run this place and I wished I could have raved about the food but I can't. From all the small boutique restaurants situated in proximity to ski resorts I still consider the Soule Domain in Crystal Bay a 5-star unbeatable standard that I use as a measuring yardstick. The food presentation was phenomenal but it wasn't followed by... More

I was heartbroken when Skadi closed several years ago, since it was always my favorite restaurant in Mammoth. Then last year I began hearing rumors that Skadi had reopened in a strip mall near the Village. Could it be true? Would the food be as good as I remember? I recently ventured out to try the new Skadi and am... More

Skadi has been there for years and I am happy to add to its impressive collection of five star reviews. We had the smoked trout and gravlax appetizers; and the duck breast and pork-trio entrees. We ended with a creme brulee. I highly recommend all. I arrived with a sprained wrist (stuff happens at Mammoth) and Ian, the owner, took... More

We had a wonderful experience with excellent food and wine. Charming staff. You can watch the very present chef at work, who is a perfectionist and an artist. Interesting menu with successful compositions and very good wine list. You won't find better in a big city!

Wrote up in 2016 as the best in Mammoth. Still holds. How can you beat the owner cooking every meal. This time we had the Salmon. It was excellent Only as few seats thirty or so you need to plan ahead. Also no spirits but a superb wine List

This is a very small place, sort off the main path of Mammoth, but try it if you can while in town. The staff is great, the chef personable and even available to chat with guests, the food is European, hearty, tasty. Reserve ahead if on the weekend!
