We were walking around this lovely town of Bethlehem in the afternoon and enjoying the downtown area when I saw this place. It looked so inviting that despite having a heavy lunch, had to walk in. I loved the setup of the place and the service was amazing. All the waiters and waitresses were very young, smiling and enterprising. The... More

While we had only french fries and drinks at the bar, we really enjoyed our short stop at McCarthy's after taking a long walk. The bar is lively, warm, and friendly. The service was very good. The pub is in Bethlehem's historic district near Hotel Bethlehem, Hyatt Place Bethlehem, and is less then two miles from Lehigh University.

THE bartender Brian was awesome to say the least,,,,his personality alone made us want to visit again! The scottish egg was delicious, my husband and I split that for... More

Love coming here for their fish and chips and Shepard's pie. And on a chilly afternoon their coffee and scones are the best.

For me, Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar gives me my fix for Ireland! For a short time I feel like I'm back in Ireland. The Guinness is fresh and although I'm not a whiskey drinker they have a vast collection of whiskies. The menu has a nice variety of dishes - something for everyone. We have tried the fish... More

Just went for a beer with a couple of business colleagues. Quite relaxed atmosphere - ok for a beer or drink. Nicely located in an old building next to Main Street.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Bethlehem. Fantastic food, always great service. Their potato and leek soup is out of this world and the Irish sofa bread is amazing. Highly recommend trying the infused whiskey if available. The ginger infused Jameson is wonderful.

Visiting family in Bethlehem for a few days and decided on lunch at McCarthy's. Gorgeous day and sat outside. We all had a little something different and it was all wonderful. If we lived close we'd go once a week until we'd sampled everything on the menu then we'd start all over again! Please give them a try...you won't be... More

Arrived on Saturday night, place was packed inside, a bit loud. Live traditional music played as we were leaving. Sat outside, heat lamps are provided. Had the Gaelic Steak very tender and nicely seasoned. Also had the Roasted red pepper, onion jam and Brie melt which we split, this too was good. You can call one hour ahead and inform... More
