We stopped in for a drink and were pleased with the offerings the Tavern at the Sun Inn now offers. Of the two pubs locations we were in the Rathskeller and enjoyed a PA IPA and a PA Pinot Grigio. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable of the Inn, beverages, and food. We were not able to stay for dinner,... More

My wife and I visited there for Valentines weekend. We first stopped for a drink downstairs in the cozy colonial style bar. The bartender was very nice. They carry local wines and beers which were both good. We then had dinner upstairs. They have several dining rooms upstairs which are very nice and in the colonial style. It added a... More

If you like history you will love the Sun Inn. George and Martha Washington stayed there also Alexander Hamilton Samuel Adams and many of the Declaration of Independence signers . The atmosphere is colonial times and very well done. The beers and wines are all Pennsylvania which is nice. I had the NY strip and my wife choose the salmon... More

We dined at The Sun Inn on a Saturday evening before a concert. The upstairs dining room was charming and the wait staff was congenial and efficient. Our dinners were outstanding from the salad to the lobster to the Death by Chocolate dessert. It was a delight to enjoy such a wonderful meal at the beautiful, historic Sun Inn. We... More

This is our first visit to Tavern at the Sun Inn but we are frequent patrons of People's Kitchen for breakfast (same chef & staff). We dined at the Tavern at the Sun Inn for dinner on Valentine's Day. From the salad to the entrees through the dessert all was excellent!!! Also the service was friendly and very attentive. We... I wish only success for this new establishment. We had a wonderful time with terrific food and comfort. Marco was our server and he gave us a bit of a history lesson, as well. It was really a great surprise for us to find this restaurant. Limited menu, but you could certainly find something to please your palate. This is... More

I ate here recently on 3 occasions. The atmosphere and service were unique. Walls decorated with historic photos and written explanation of important and distinguished visitors and guests that stayed at the Inn in colonial times. I understand some authentic period muskets are going to be hung on some of the walls Food was Excellent and freshly prepared- small but... More

Visiting Bethlehem for a three day Christmas weekend we fell into this gem by chance .First saw the Sun Inn history in part of a film on the city's past at the Steel Museum Saturday morning , so I returned to The Hotel and researched it further . Online saw the April announcement of its re-opening as a restaurant and... More

The Tavern at the Sun Inn is a great new place! They now have a bar on the 2nd floor and a rathskeller in the basement. They serve locally made alcohol, beer and wine. The food is locally sourced and is quite tasty from what we had. The building was built in 1758 and completely restored. There is a colonial... More

We ate there many, many years ago when it was open to the public for dining. The food was prepare in period time. The menus only had food that was served, I think during the eighteen hundreds. Unfortunately they closed for ding many years ago but, I understand they are going to re open it for dining again. It is... More
