I'd first heard about Skyline Chili on an episode of Anthony Bourdain's travel show NO RESERVATIONS. Bourdain dragged his buddy, cookbook author Michael Ruhlman, to the Skyline Chili in Cleveland for couple plates of "Three-Way" (Skyline Chili, Shredded Cheddar and Onions), served on top of a heaping pile of spaghetti. While Bourdain happily tucked into his dish, Ruhlman looked at... More

Being from western PA where hot dog chili is a food group, this stuff is a mystery. It is a runny meat soup that they put on anything. Just to let you chili on pasta, "chili mac", is real chili on macaroni and that is not the same chili that goes on a "chili dog". Sorry FIFOs, we will never... More

Since I'm in the Dayton OH area I decided to do a chilli challenge, Skyline vs Gold Star. The restaurants were very close to one another so I could do an actual back to back taste test. The same order Chilli 3 ways: chilli, spaghetti and cheese and onions. The spaghetti, onions and cheese were the same at both places.... More

I landed in Columbus and had to drive to a business meeting in Dayton. I didn't put my hotel into Google Maps, I searched for Skyline Chili and drove straight here. I love this place. It is inexpensive, super tasty and just plain ol fun. One cheese coney and one 4-way please!

We enjoyed this restaurant very much. It is a casual restaurant, just a notch above fast food, but with waitress service. The restaurant was clean. The service was very friendly. We enjoyed our food.

I had the 4 way chili and the cheesy dog. The chili was a big dish with spaghetti chili and onion covered by mounds of cheese. The dish was interesting but not something I would die for. The coney dog was very small. I would try the chili again but not the dog.

Nice service, tried the chili since it is a local legend. Very cumin tasting. really enjoyed it. Not thick though so recommend getting it "on" something.

Been eating Skyline chili since the early 80's. Tried lots of others but this just can't beat in my opinion. I know there are some who don't like the flavor but chances are that those that try it always go back. Menu has expanded some over the years but a meal of a 3 way and 2 cheese coneys just... More

Great chili dogs!! They were smaller than I expected so I will order at least two to start!! Everything revolves around the chili and rightfully so!! Good place to eat!!
