This is a favorite spot for locals. Ample portions, friendly service, and unpretentious food. No truffle oil in sight.

Go on a weekday if at all possible. The food is so good that they arguably have the longest lines in Ventura for a weekend breakfast! The unique thing about the wait is that no one complains about it, besides you can get coffee and...More
The corned beef hash breakfast is amazingly delicious. I get them with eggs over medium and sourdough toast... what a complete meal. The corned beef hash just melts in your mouth. Everything on the plate compliments each other well and they cook it all perfectly.
Food was great! Large portions (under 10 and over 55 menu and it was plenty!). Homemade Strawberry Jam was delicious!

I ate outside, which was nice. I had the chille verde huevos. Which is pork sausage chille verde, eggs and cheese on corn tortillas. It also comes with home fries and refried beans. The biscuits are amazing!! And their homemade strawberry jam was perfect.
Not only does this restaurant open very early, the service has always been great. I usually eat breakfast here and I have never had a bad experience. Staff is always cheerful and helpful.
We found this place and picked it thanks to some reviews. It isn't a huge place, so we did have to wait awhile to be seated. Once we got our food, we understood what the wait was for! We really enjoyed this place.
