We decided not to eat in the hotel for breakfast on this holiday, opting instead to visit local diners. I consider this was absolutely justified by diners like the Good Stuff Diner. Clean, lovely staff and the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good breakfast in the city.

Classic diner the likes of which are dwindling in Manhattan. Huge menu. Not a place you go for amazing food (impossible to make that many things that well) but at our table of a salad, French toast, a burger and pasta bolognese everything was solid. My son's bolognese was probably the standout. Service was ok, if not great. Although not... More

We were staying with family very near the diner, so it came highly recommend. We had breakfast around 9:00. No wait, staff was very friendly and attentive. I had scrambled eggs, generous portion of grits and really good 7-grain bread for $6.25, which is reasonably priced for anywhere but especially lower Manhattan. Less than a block to 14th St station.... More

Happened upon this by accident and glad we did. Great food, good price. Service was friendly and prompt. Not touristy-good way to experience how the locals live.

We stopped off at the Good Stuff Diner on our way to Lower Manhattan. The place was busy and had a good feel to it. We were seated at a table deep into the restaurant and we were able to soak up the atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and quick and the food was very good diner food. It was... More

We've eaten at The Good Stuff Diner about 3 times, and the meals have always been more than just good! Friendly staff and service, delicious food, served in a cool modern design atmosphere. I love the colorful mosaic tile and big colorful bubble hanging fixtures. Their business card has this mosaic design on it that matches the decor. Last time... More

We had a very late arrival in NYC after delays in LA and our hotel was very close to Good Stuff Diner. It was 1.30am and we were hungry. There were a lot of people so we thought it must be good. The food was lovely and the service was very good. We stayed in NYC for 5 days and... More

This is a comfortable diner with great food and moderate prices and is near several subway lines and shopping. Great for the kids too.

we were sat down by the hostess for breakfast. The restaurant was pretty dead, the servers were putting together silverware and doing busywork. We never saw a waiter. We sat down for about 5-7 mins. and never got water or anything. I would be understanding, if the place was crazy busy, but we watched them seat others after us and... More
