So, the first thing I need to warn readers about are the very "romantic" candles that are on the tables. I tell you this because they have a paper hood and if the table wobbled as ours did you will find your paper hood on fuego. So, candle fire out and on with the review. Margherita good, Mojito, great. The... More

Phew, we stumbled upon the place after my daughter's first choice, the Shake Shack, was packed. We stumbled onto something better. Its reputation as a place that could settle on providing lower quality given its location is accurate. The guacamole was excellent. I had a braised lamb burrito which was delish with a regular retopping of their house sauce. The... More

As obsessed with Frida Kahlo as I am, it was hard to resist popping into this restaurant. There was a bit of a wait, but it was tolerable. if anything was difficult, it was the volume, which was almost earsplitting. Fortunately, we were seated in the sort of outdoor glass-enclosed porch area, which did help. We very much enjoyed the... More

Went for lunch at a busy time. Hostess was friendly but once we were seated we were completely forgotten. Once waiter finally came by with water he then left and we had to ask to get him back to order after several other tables seated after us placed orders. Waiter never came back after food arrived and had to ask... More

The Margarita on the rocks ($11) was pleasingly flavorful but not strong. The Empanada appetizer ($11) was overpriced and just okay. The Hanger Steak ($28), cooked medium as requested, had as much flavor as a Rib Eye Steak and was delicious. It came with Black Beans and a Cheese Enchalada. My 8:30 p.m. Saturday reservation was not honored and I... More

Let me start by saying .... we sat by the window but got moved because they wanted our table to seat a bigger party .. Fine so we moved .... The food was mediocre ... I ordered the Fajitas and let me tell you, I have never had fajitas that didn't come with cheese , guacamole or any other sides... More

Stopped in for dinner...crowded but was seated upstairs overlooking the main room. Be warned, very warm due to height! Service was very slow with menus and slower for drinks although water was delivered ASAP. Menu large, standard mex tweaked. Chicken tacos were delish, spicy and just enough. Sides are extra and overpriced. Margaritas did not disappoint! Overall a success and... More

The food and service are excellent. We ordered some guacamole for the table and it was the best I've ever tasted in any Mexican style restaurant. The restaurant was busy around dinner hour but the manager was able to accommodate us for dinner. In every aspect this location is excellent for food, service and ambiance. My wife and I enjoyed... My friends and I were advised to try a Mexican while in New York. This spot provided a great atmosphere, lively vibe. Great food and portions were just right. My cousin a native New Yorker had never been and was very impressed. highly recommend that you give it a visit.

The place was an amazing find just steps from the Museum of Natural History. The food is so fresh and great margaritas! The chicken soup was delicious. The quesadillas were so cheesy and the fajitas were amazing. Huge portions and a great value. If u want authentic Mexican food please stop.
