Grom provided the BEST hot chocolate I have ever had. The hazelnut version tastes just like Nutella and the milk chocolate is superb as well. The drink is actual liquid chocolate with a little bit of cream. It is thick, smooth, and not watered down at all! I would also highly recommend getting the homemade whipped cream. Absolutely delicious!

On a cold winter evening, a cup of the finest hot chocolate makes everything perfect! The place is easy to find and has great service. Grom offers about three varieties of hot chocolate and a wide selection of Gelato. All something to make the trip to the store totally worthy of your time. The place is clean, the large windows... The gelato here is just as good as the Grom places I visited in Florence and Venice. It made me feel like I was back in Italy. The salted caramel and chocolate orange flavors were both delicious!

We have had ice cream there many times and each time it is a pleasant and delightful experience. All the flavors are worth tasting, each with a different palatal surprise. It is a bit expensive but worth trying. We love the place

Our visit was on Nov. 9 (yup, the day after). We had just come out of Book of Mormons and walking back to our hotel at Columbus Circle when the urge arose for some gelato. Yelp helped us find Grom. What a treat!! We will certainly be back in the future, since we typically try to stay at this end... More

Grom is so good. But so expensive and they barely give you anything. Honestly, their biggest size is smaller than the smallest size at some New England farm ice cream places. But in NYC we're stuck with Grom.

They are known for ice cream but their hot cocoa hits the right spot especially on a cold day. They are incredibly thick, rich, and creamy. we had two flavors, the regular dark one, and the Giandujia one - think liquid Nutella. Both were wonderful. It reminded my of Angelina's in Paris.

As an Italian, and travel lover, I cannot hide from ice cream love... GROM is really a nice Italian ice cream maker - opened by two young friends from Turin after they graduated from university (one agricultural science & the other business) they created this amazing gelateria, which now is just expanded in a world renown & recognised brand! Well... More

This is a Rome level ice cream, a must have in this wasteland of frozen delights... Every flavor i tried was great, chocolate, tiramisu, hazelnut and pistachio.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
