They have good service, small tables, peanuts with your drinks, and high prices. But, hey, it's a hotel bar in NYC.

If you're staying at a nearby hotel with poor food choices, the London Bar serves a nice breakfast. A little pricey, but comfortable and well prepared.

I stayed at the London for a conference recently. The Hotel bar/restaurant is conveniently located just off the lobby. I was there twice during my stay - once for breakfast and once for a private party. Breakfast was incredibly overpriced - coffee and a standard omelette with potatoes and toast was over $40 with a tip. Service was not very... More

The breadth of choice for breakfast was great but the service was not particularly good. It was slow which for a business meeting is not good.

The food was ... fine. Definitely nothing special. I had the truffle fries a few times and those were good, but it was basically fries with truffle powder. I know this because I ordered them, got regular french fries, told them I ordered truffle fries and they took mine and brought them back within 1 minute. "That was fast" I... More

I have just written a review on The London Hotel. & sung the praises of this Hotel & Bar. Most hotel bars are dreary sort of places. nobody wants to be sitting alone in a bar. This bar has everything, wonderful staff, great cocktails. in a great position. it was always busy & always food available if wanted. loud enough... More

I enjoyed my food and the service, but also noticed how service oriented the bartender was to all comers. Prescriptive in his service while providing comfort to all.

NYC is certainly not sort of good places to eat and this is another. Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious, pricey but what else would you expect from NYC. We all enjoyed our food and the cocktails are a must.

We walked into this bar with no expectations and the cocktails although expensive at $20 each were delicious and our server was fantastic. We ordered 4 burgers and all of us said they were some of the best burgers we have had. We might have been lucky as there do seem to be a lot of negative reviews as we... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
