If you want a cool, hip, good coffee experience in NYC, check out Grumpy. Their coffee is pretty good! I take my coffee black there; it's that good! Great for business meetings and hang outs with friends!

A great choice of coffee -- roasted in New York City -- from all over the world. No laptop policy, but great coffee, friendly service and lots of tables. I loved that it was quiet and calm. A gem, slightly of the beaten path.

Fab coffee, friendly welcome and the best almond croissant I have had in many a year. Lovely atmosphere too.

I came across the branding of cafe grumpy and loved it so I decided to give it a try. The place has "laptop free" rule which I found interesting however it didn't bother me since I wasn't looking to work just try the coffee. The coffee didn't blow me away. It was ok. Nothing more.

I am serious about coffee. Turkish or espresso only. No drip stuff, no starbucks. And the staff at Grumpy deliver it! Real good coffee. Grabbed their cold brew to go and walked the High Line and it was the best afternoon ever! I prefer the Chelsea location, but the other ones had same quality brews and LOVELY staff! Fuel yourself... We stopped by after having pizza at Lombardi's and it was the prefect finish. Coffee was strong, full of flavor and aroma and the cafeteria has a great atmosphere for enjoying the coffee.

what can one say? I LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff is competent and ready to serve. The coffee is the best in the city. Plenty of space to sit including a garden out back. Great place to have an impromptu meeting or a cute first coffee date! Keep up the great work Grumpy staff!

Went in for a very early coffee as I'd just been on an over night bus and wanted a kick before I spent the say walking around the The Met. The coffee was good, very drinkable and I take it black. Staff were friendly and the place had a good atmosphere to eat. No wifi, which is a good thing... More

No matter what location I go to, Grumpy always makes me the best coffee. They use the best almond milk, best quality coffee, It is definitely the place to go if you're a coffee lover.
