Friendly reception as always - we waited a bit for a table, but were kept up to date so not frustrating. Food is great (not cheap though), wine list excellent, and atmosphere terrific. Very close to the real tapas atmosphere that you would get in Spain. Love it.

Of the four tapas we ordered, one came at least 20 minutes after we finished the other three with no warning when we ordered that it might take time. The service was pleasant and the place comfortable but the food itself was nothing to speak about. Maybe it was the items we ordered and maybe worth a second try but... More

Enjoyed the $4 cerveza and $5 sangria along with our patatas bravas, olives, skewered chicken and seafod in a spicy red sauce. Place of course is packed tight so get there early for a choice seat at the bar

I'm afraid to review restaurants because the quality can change overnight with the chef. If you look at some of the reviews here you will see they seem to be consistent in food quality and service over a period of time. Having eaten some of the best Tapas in Barcelona, I must add this place is top drawer in a... More

Went only for churros and DELICIOUS. Place is small and usually packed, be prepared to be claustrophobic and possibly sit next to other parties.

Went here for my last meal in New York and it was a great experience. We had the boozy brunch feast with 4 Tapas including the really tasty Escalivada and Patatas Bravas. Then mains and particularly enjoyed the Huevos Benedictinos. A bit too much food so didn't finish it all but US portions seem to generally be larger. Then the... More

We were there on a weekday evening and it was very busy! We heard great things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and staff was great as well.

Food was delicious. We went on a Saturday night and it was crowded. They don't take reservations for 2 people, so be prepared to wait. However, the food is worth the wait! The octopus (pulpo) is outstanding, as well as the tortilla de papa and the gambas. Service was great too.

Great happy hour. The wines for happy hour are so good and the food is top notch. Huge portions! Thought I would snack but ended up being too full for dinner.

Third visit over 3 years, the faces behind the kitchen have changed, but the quality and taste of their food remains constant. Staff were so friendly and helpful, not a cheap tapas restaurant but oh so good. If we get to New York next year, we will visit here more than once.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
