Buddakan always impresses me. It's good. Very good in fact. Which is impressive given they can seat 300 at once. They are amazingly consistent. It's probably my favorite restaurant in New York. Not the most impressive food in New York. But always fun. It's a must for locals, groups, and anyone visiting New York. The decor is great and they... More

My go to NYC restaurant. I might be a little un original in imagination for some but after five amazing meals here over the years it's time to review. Food is fantastic, great environment to share moments with work mates and friends (new and old).

Buddakan has been around for years. In the highly competitive area of the Meatpacking district maintaining success is quite a challenge. Other similar, competitive establishments are also to be found within a small radius (Hakkasan is a suiting example). Having said that, my impression was that the restaurant is doing a good job keeping up quality of service and food.... More

I went along for dinner with a couple of friends despite hearing that the restaurant's best days are behind them. I should have listened to them. As a Londoner, the only place that I can compare this restaurant to is Hakkasan. To put it politely, Hakkasan blows this place out of the water in every aspect. Took them over an... More

My daughter and I met in NYC for some culinary delights and shopping in our favorite city! A long way from Australia which is home. We had seen this restaurant on Sex and the City and always wanted to visit. This subtly and elegantly decorated funky ex biscuit factory restaurant didn't disappoint! With its many levels and different areas it... More

Had a dinner reservation at 6pm. Dining hall interior was classy. Service was highly satisfactory. Our orders included the peking duck salad, dumplings, prawn rice, tofu with eggplant

I went to Buddakan after hearing rave reviews from a close friend of mine. The style there is smaller plates so make sure you order a few different things to try. Everything I had was incredible. The fried rice was hands down the best rice dish I have ever had. Their charred broccoli was outstanding as well. The interior of... More

This meal was five stars all around. We wanted a quick meal before heading to a Broadway show and Jaime got it done. Each appetizer and enter was sublime in its own way. The flavors were exotic but not overdone, the ambience was fun. Dark and festive, but not so loud as to preclude conversation. The monkfish in particular was... More

Good ambience and very busy restaurant and must book in advance. Located in down town NYC with lots happening surrounding the restaurant. Excellent bar, good Asian fusion food , however limited vegetarian selection.
