Sent the kids up the Empire State Building and in the meantime we perched at the bar. The beer flight is a great way to sample the beers they offer. Particularly impressed with the stout, very coffee/chocolate The bar is clean and very busy indeed....More

Visiting the Empire State Building we ended up in this restaurant by chance. They serve a good number of nice beers and food is OK but pretty average. For those who might have the idea that with all the beers they serve this could be...More

Relatives had told me to go here, recommending the beer. Even though upstairs was not busy, was shown to a table in the basement bar. Fair play, the beer was great. I cannot say the same for the chilli or atmosphere. Service was ok. If...More

The restaurant is pretty large. There are a lot of tables upstairs and an even larger area downstairs. They take reservations, but you probably don't need one.

I paid $8 for a pint of the oatmeal stout. The beer was good, though pricey by my standards.

Description
New York City's most famous landmark, the Empire State Building, now houses New York's number one brewery, a two-story 450-seat Heartland equipped with two large bars and four giant flat-screen TV's. Our full-service restaurant breathes new life into an area overrun with fast food chains. More than just a watering hole with great beer, we offer both visitors and locals excellent food and a feeling of home that only Heartland can offer.
