What is it with bar people in NYC? Is it cool to be rude? These guys take it to a new level. No eye contact, grunt response on finally attracting their attention and ignoring us when we want to pay. Why is there an expectation...More

Great location, great service and great food! We had the Friday special, Grilled Chicken Alfredo. We loved it, good size and delicious. Kids had chicken fingers. They said they were ok, but preferred other places for that meal.

We went to the restaurant on New Year’s Eve. The place was gigantic and very cool, a real American Steakhouse. The food was very good (especially the roasted chicken, which was a quite big portion for one person) and te service was quite fast. The...More

The food was nothing spectacular. My chicken from the rotisserie was too dry. The beer is not that special. Way to expensive. $12.5 for a glass of wine. Tips were added to the bill - 18% !! Service wasn’t even that good. I’m not going...More

We stopped off for a couple of drinks, to be robbed blind and treat like dirt. We walked up to the bar, only to be ignored by the barman. When we asked what beers were available, he put down a drinks menu then walked away....More

The restaurant is pretty large. There are a lot of tables upstairs and an even larger area downstairs. They take reservations, but you probably don't need one.

I paid $8 for a pint of the oatmeal stout. The beer was good, though pricey by my standards.

Description
New York City's most famous landmark, the Empire State Building, now houses New York's number one brewery, a two-story 450-seat Heartland equipped with two large bars and four giant flat-screen TV's. Our full-service restaurant breathes new life into an area overrun with fast food chains. More than just a watering hole with great beer, we offer both visitors and locals excellent food and a feeling of home that only Heartland can offer.
