We wanted a place for drinks post theatre. Our hotel was just a few doors down from BXL. This is an unpretentious bar, We had such a good time! Great bartending, and just one of those places friends hang out. The real side of NYC, steps from Broadway :)

I can only say that I was proud to be Belgian when visiting this cafe! All platters were to die for, serving Belgian dishes as they should be served. The beer selection also was rather impressive, though quite expensive, so mind you! But this place is a must go if you want to enjoy a tasty, Belgian meal. The staff... More

This pub is amazing, 30 seconds from time square. Good ambiance, excellent staff service, food was delicious and the beer selection is amazing. Must see!

Quality food and drink. Friendly service! The mussels were well cooked and the fires were delicious! The Bloody Mary was flavorful.

Stopped in for a few drinks. Barman David was brilliant. Friendly, excellent knowledge of beer and other drinks. Good music at the right volume so we could have a conversation with my guests. Didn't have food but the frites looked good. Went back the next night too!

Interestingly no mussels available on account of a bad month (good for the mussels, I guess). Unfortunately that was the main reason for picking this place, but let's attribute the bad luck to the bad weather. Atmosphere was typical of pub, food was also typical of pub, but fairly nice, and the fact that this happens literally few steps away... More

A friend recommended this when he heard that I enjoyed Belgian beer. Perfect place for it. Wide selection and the food offerings were good, too! Will return again for sure.

There's a nice, relaxed vibe in the BXL Cafe that keeps me coming back. Even though it's on a side street, right off chaotic Times Square, you'd never know it once you're inside. I have been here for brunch a few times, so I can recommend the egg dishes, delicious french fries, and a rather substantial burger that really hits... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
