We stopped by for dinner after a show. The place was hopping. We had nice wines from their by the glass selection. Decent choices, but somewhat overpriced. We shared a caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella. Nice, not great, but overpriced at $25 for less than...More

We have been going to La Masseria for quite a while before theater - sometimes for dinner, sometimes for lunch before a matinee. Our most recent visit was for lunch this past Saturday, which was a raw, rainy so-called Spring day and maybe the reason...More

This is a very popular, busy place. We had great salads, and pasta. I had schiaffoni, wonderful pasta with sausage and my husband spaghetti with meatballs. Service was very good and the room buzzing with activity. We really liked it.

Spent Spring Break 2018 in NYC Times Square location and found this gem down the street. Great reviews so we tried and loved it. Had the Coniglio Alla Caprese, Costoletta Di Vitello Alla Milanese and Ribeye that competes with any NYC steak house.

Early dinner before show, we were one of first to arrive. Restaurant is right in theater district area. Classic Italian ambiance, right down to the Italian owner and Italian extended family already seated. We both had the rigatoni pasta with traditional sunday grandmother's sauce. There...More

We arrived around 6 pm for the pre theater crowd. Pretty crowded and noisy but vibrant. Reservations definitely a must.

La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The 250-bottle wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.
