I know Irish Bars (perhaps too well) and this place is about as grim as it gets - do yourself a favor, continue along the street to the Capital Grille where you will get a proper glass of wine for about maybe a dollar or two more. We had one drink each, both of which were served in small glasses... More

Recently renovated Irish pub tucked away in the financial district. Some scaffolding out front is blocking the entrance, but just look for the Irish flag temporary sign. Excellent burgers, and friendly attentive service.

Glassware reminded me of my high school cafeteria. Not the electrifying atmosphere of an Irish Pub. Can not put my finger on it but lacks warmth of Irish Pub. But for a quick drink, will do.

A good stop for an Irish lunch in this busy area. Large choice of beers of course and the typical atmosphere you expect I recommend the ribs and the Punt Salad

Stopped in for lunch after a client meeting with my engineer, food was good, plentiful, and decent selection of drafts. They had a special Shepard's Pie on the menu that day, not having had that for quite a while I decided to try it. Turns out to have been a good choice. My Engineer had a traditional Hamburger which he... More

A group of 5 of us ate food and enjoyed beers here, well served by happy Irish staff. The fish and chips was well above average. The fish was flaky; it is breaded not battered and was not overcooked. The chips were outstanding. Not french fries but between soft and lightly crispy. We also had a salmon BLT. Again, the... More

My friends and I were so happy to happen upon the Irish Punt as we looked for a non-touristy lunch spot near Wall Street. We were very cold and this warm, inviting and cozy restaurant was the perfect choice. Loved the painted tin ceiling and exposed brick. It was full of character and everything seemed old -- in a good... More

Unimpressive in just about every way. Nothing was bad, but nothing was very good, let alone great. In a city with so many great options, choose another one.

Drank and eat their, beer was okay and the food quite bland, but edible. Service was very rushed, despite two member of staff. All in all nothing special.

Nice looking Pub in Financial District. Very poor service by barmaid that was doing shots with a group of men and swearing profusely. Ignored other patrons. Have patronized this pub on every visit to NYC for sentimental reasons, so we were very disappointed this time.
