Only just got to NYC and ordered drinks in happy hour, then ordered some food. Food was ok, burger and a Caesar salad, nothing special. When the bill came the drinks were charged at full price. We pointed this out to the waitress who started arguing with us, and was very rude. Don't bother going, lots better places in NYC.

I wandered into here after enjoying a walk in Central Park. Small, cozy, dark, and a bit worn at the edges, it reminded me of pubs in Europe. A rather extensive beer list, actually more impressive than the food menu. They did have some dinner specials, but I chose fish & chips and a small garden salad and was not... More

Ordered a "dark and stormy". Surprised by the size of the glass (pint glass) and that we were given the bottle of alcoholic ginger beer. Great drink for $15.00 which seems to be the average in Manhattan. Had the reuben wraps and they were very good!

My husband and I enjoyed a nice lunch here. It's a little crowded with the tables sitting so tight together. The Shrimp Carbonara was delicious. It was on the lunch specials. My husband enjoyed the seafood chowder and BLT. Everyone was very friendly!

I love old bars that are worn a bit on the edges. PJ's fits that description. Half a block from Carnegie means that I can have a quick one before the show starts. The food is not inspiring but did you really come here to eat?? The bartenders know their stuff and that is what counts.

We happened upon this pub when a restaurant where we planned to eat was closed. It is somewhat noisy with a lively young, but not rowdy, crowd at the bar. We sat right by the big front window, so it felt like eating outside, but warm and dry on a rainy April evening. My husband had the lamb special with... More

We were asked to visit here as the brother in law is a Carney and when he visited some years ago he wasn't 21 so couldn't go inside... ha! Fab little atmosphere and staff really chatty. First place we stopped having been traveling for 20 odd hours so we looked like the walking dead. Beautiful cocktails and awesome choice on... More

A nice bar with happy hour I think between 5 and 7 so worth a visit. Nice cosy pub with a nice bar to sit at. We didn't eat here but saw the food coming out it looked really good and big portions. Worth a visit even if it's for a quick pit stop.

We had a good lunch on St Patty's day. We were lucky to get a table, extremely busy (as expected). Shepherds Pie was good and the Leak soup was excellent. Beer was a bit pricey with lots of choices on tap

I don't know if its the fact that both me and my wife have Irish grandparents, but it seems we always end up in an Irish bar. I think we visited this places for drinks on almost every day of our trip to New York. The staff were really nice and friendly and they had a great selection of beers... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
