Loved this place, so much so that we came back for a return visit on our last day. We'd had breakfast in different places each day and all claimed to have the best pancakes. Sorry but there is no competition, these were so good. I had the blueberry ones that had fruit inside the pancake. The pancakes are light and... More

Being a new yorker and also with my husband being in the restaurant industry I expected more from such a busy and successful establishment. I guess I should've known. Anyway we were in the city to visit family who arrived from Ireland and we were all going to breakfast. They were stuck waiting at the hotel for the teenagers to... More

Has a perfect location right opposite Grand central station. It was very busy in here when we arrive around 9.30 am, but was seated fairly quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice decor and we were seated at the rear of the restaurant in those comfortable red booths. Pancakes with strawberries were nice and came in big portions, but... More

We arrived at just gone 9 on a Wednesday morning, we found a queue. But it moved quickly and it was worth it. Plenty of choice and wonderful tasting. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. A really good Breakfast experience, slightly bizarre that all the time you're eating cars are driving over your head as its set under a... More

We visited here on our last day of a 5 day trip for breakfast. Located under the Park Avenue viaduct opposite Grand Central terminal, with steel beamed decor and beautifully designed seating booths, this is one of the busiest and the best eateries for breakfast. We had a short wait to be seated at around 10am with very prompt, attentive... More

We went there as a family with two teenagers, for breakfast. No queue at 9 am, apparently we were lucky. The staff at the entrance was not particularly friendly, no greetings no smiles but the waitress was fine. The food was served promptly, the tea, in its teapot delicious so was the fresh orange juice. Pancakes a little bit undercooked... More

Visited on our last day for breakfast. It claims to be the busiest and the best at breakfast, and it was both! We had a small wait of approx 10 minutes, it was very busy. It was also well worth it! The service and food was exceptional. It was busy with local workers, all talking business, a few tourists sprinkled... More

Set back a cross from Grand Central Station sits this unique Cafe. As you walk in it reminds you of a railway carriage. It runs the length of the arch. Fantastic food and ambiance. A lovely place in the evening which adds to the whole feel. Not expensive but the food is amazing. Try the steak, chilli, mac n cheese.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
