We are kicking ourselves in the you-know-what because we have fabulous Malaysian minutes from our house, but decided to venture across the river. All 4 dishes were greasy and bland. We got: Whole fried snapper Thai style: coating was not crispy - it was soggy and cold, sauce scant and marginal, fish bony - nothing but breading and bones at... More

Hubby and I came here to try our new discovery Malaysian restaurant. I remember coming to this place before but if I'm not mistaken it was under a different name. This was way back in early 2000. This time it has a little bit different setting, must be a different management as well. I ordered roti canai, char keow teow... More

The food here is good but what isn't great is the service. The lady behind the counter was really rude when I arrived. There is a minimum charge of $20 before they accept credit cards. I had an entrée and dessert and no complaints about the quality of food - I just wish their wait staff would treat the customers... More

We weren't sure where to eat in Chinatown but this was a great choice. Not too expensive and very good food. A huge menu with many Asian options. I had Singapore noodles and my wife chicken fried rice. Noodles were great!

I was born in Malaysia and am always on the lookout for Malaysian food. There are a number of Malaysian restaurants in Chinatown, but this stands out in terms of authentic taste. All the traditional dishes are available and can be made to suit your taste (bland to very hot). I also look forward to the good selection of dessert... More

After 4 months of not eating Malaysian food, I craved for it so badly when I was visiting New York... and I found this place.. the Nasi Lemak tastes just like the one (Chinese Nasi Lemak) back home.. wished they had teh tarik tho.

Excellent noodles and service, been coming here with my honey for over 20 years and it never disappoints. Try the Orange Crispy Beef Yum and Singapore Mai Fun

Very good rest and nice size. It's in an alley way between the Bowery and Elisabeth. They have good Malaysian specialties.

Not what I was expecting as we love Malaysian but their game was NOT on point at all...Menu was a bit different than our usual spots so we got a few things that were different and in the end just did not love it. Hubs hadn't been here in about 5 yrs and i'd say there's a reason for that...... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
