Our cheese on the pizza tasted and looked like chewing gum. It was defenitely not normal cheese. No reaction on my questions what it was. They added a tip to my bill without questioning. Suddenly nobody listened.....no way ever again!

The food is good but wouldnt say its the best italian. The service is what I believe sis the best. My husband ate ravioli and I had manicotti, good but very average.

A party of six of us went to La Nonna for appetizers on Sunday. Service was excellent and each and every one of the 5 appetizers were outstanding. The stuffed artichoke was delicious, but the calamari was fresh and crisp. I would have to say that it was the best I have ever eaten and I have had a lot... More

First things first, I did not eat here by choice. This was a group trip for a high school band, and the itinerary was put together by a tour company. Naturally, they were catering food choices and activities to the average high school student. We were given choices from which we could select, and I selected the spaghetti and meatballs.... More

When in New York don't pass the remaining street of little Italy. La Nonna's is spot on, the calimari was perfect, home made pasta, lovely salads, don't forget street dining for great people watching!

The atmosphere of this whole restaurant area is just wonderful so we decided to have a light dinner here. We sat at an outside table and watched the maitre d' make suggestive comments and gestures as women walked by. Very unprofessional and a little disturbing. Pizza was average.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
