Pretty good southern BBQ in NY state... I lived in NC for 10 years and was pleased.. it was in a 'wrap' as it approached a healthy BBQ sandwich -

One of our first times and a BBQ joint and we were quite impressed. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was a perfect way to kick things off. Not wanting to miss out on anything we ordered “Jimmy’s pig out for two” which features four bbq items and four sides plus cornbread. Highly recommended! We found the... More

We had lunch and ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries as the side. The pulled pork was authentic North Carolina Pulled Pork. They had several different sauces on the table to add to the sandwich. Having lived in North Carolina we used the Carolina sauce - Great! We also ordered the slaw for the sandwich. It was like being... More

Been here twice in the last couple of month and tried the ribs both times; it's a great sports bar to go with friends & family. There are 10 tvs located throughout the bar and you can watch pretty much all sports happening at any given time. Staff is welcoming and polite. Both times I had the northern ribs. The... More

Decent atmosphere, service was quick, food was delish and they even had games to keep the kids occupied. Nothing fancy at all, good ribs.

This is my go to place when going to Ranger games. I have never been disappointed at the 8th Ave location. Good bbq at a good price for NYC. I would recommend it for pre game or events at MSG.

This is a family friendly restaurant. The BBQ is a good selection and the bar food is very good. The servers are attentive and children are welcome with balloons and crayons to draw while the food is being prepared. The kids' food comes out fast, is hot and the mac and cheese is a favorite.

A bit out of the way from our Midtown hotel but looked like fun so gave it a go. And not disappointed. Decent beer on draught and a good selection of Southern style food for about $20 for a main course. Staff were friendly and about 10 screens of sport to keep you amused. What no soccer (as they call... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
