I went to the Sunday Gospel Brunch and watched The Harlem Gospel Choir. The performance was nice, but I found it too tourist-focused - it was a bit too "comercial", short and they were talking so much and inviting so many people to the stage that we did not have a good chance to listen to and enjoy their voices.... Good music, good food, good service. Well spent evening/ night. The one of the few placets with good live music on stage. Big daddy dance moves were awesome. Check that place out for sure

I was in NY for 10 days and ate at BB Kings/Lucilles several times before leaving. The jerk chicken was amazing! Hats off to the chef. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful.

We attended BB Kings on our last night in New York and I can confidently say that the night was spectacular! Covering an array of famous soul classic tunes Big Daddy Wayne and the band were amazing! The band was made up of a female singer who hit some amazing high notes accompanied by a fab keyboard player, saxophonist and... More

We made a reservation in Lucille's for the Soul review online before heading to New York. The place was packed so I guess we did the right thing. If you like your classic soul music this is a great show and the fact that the food was amongst the best we had on the trip was an added bonus. Treat... More

My husband and I stopped here to grab a quick dinner. It was WONDERFUL!! The food and the atmosphere exceeded expectation. And it was SO NICE to enjoy some live blues while we ate. We will definitely come back on our next visit!!

We came here on a Friday night to see Buckethead, and the venue was awesome! Of course, Buckethead is a frickin' guitar virtuoso, so bummer if you missed the show, but we loved the lounge. We bought VIP center balcony seats, but I actually wish we'd just have purchased General Admission for half the price. It would not have been... More

The service was very good. The sweet potato was the best I ever tasted. The ribs wee good, but they charge $26 for a lunch portion, and it was only a half a rack. I understand that it's New York City, but it still seemed pretty steep. You can go to the Tony Roma's franchise and get the same portion... More

When we entered the facility it was crowed, loud...kinda like a non-stop party atmosphere. There was a "ton" of people waiting to be seated then the hostess told us it'll be a ten minute wait. "Yeah right" I thought but true to her words we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Team work keeps this place running at optimal... More

I was on my way to another eatery doors away until I remembered how BB Kings have a lunch special posted right outside. I decided to go inside to check it out. Not only was I not greeted in the poorly lit basement restaurant while standing patiently by the counter, 2 tall men came in minutes behind. They appear to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
