Wow everything people around me were receiving looked really good. I just ordered the Humus and chips $9.00. It would have been plenty for two. Humus had great flavor. When traveling back thru JFK New York will have to try for lunch or dinner. Portions looked really big. My waitress was really good. I would return. Of course your going... More

Went as part of an office party. House beer (Blue Smoke Ale) was very nice. I've been known to smoke some really good chicken and brisket myself, and this was just as good....especially the brisket which can be a bit tricky. They nailed it! Side dishes beans, mac&cheese, broccoli, corn pones were also awesome. Not a fan of any catfish,... More

Service was excellent and portions huge - however, the pulled pork was chilli hot, the potato salad had mustard in it, the coleslaw had cumin in and the baby back ribs were super marinated in something that made them taste not as expected, and wasn't to my taste. I'm sure loads of people would like the twist on the food... More

Been here several times with work colleagues and family, and on this occasion, poor value for money and lacklustre service let the place down. starters are huge, so sharing is a good idea, and although the Rib platters at $30 dollars look reasonable as they include a couple of sides, portions are smaller than they used to be. If you... More

Ate at Blue Smoke before a jazz concert downstairs. Started with home made chips with blue cheese/bacon dip - sure, a crowd pleaser, but unimpeachable here. Entree was perfectly cooked brisket with collard greens and baked beans - beans were generic, but greens were done well (critically, not over cooked) - the ensemble was memorable. My son had nice baby... More

Made a reservation for six people, because we wanted to see the Mingus Big Band downstairs, and could only get three tickets. We asked about three more tickets as we checked in the the hostess, and she said she would see what she could do, but it would probably be no problem. Before we even got our drinks, she had... More

Blue smoke is a nice restaurant. We had the best chicken wings in NYC and the best spare ribs in my life. You know, sometimes the ribs have this fatty feel of being reheated. Then a little bit and that was the taste comes up which is mostly covered by a huge portion of barbecue sauce. Often they are very... More

We were supposed to go to another BBQ restaurant but, they were closed for a private party and the owner did not want to do it but, he recommended that we go to Blue Smoke instead! We were early enough that we were able to get a table without a reservation and by the time we left, the staff was... More

We had a booking for lunch at 12:30, but ended up arriving 35 minutes early. No problem getting seated, but by 1ish there was a real buzz and hive of activity in there. Looks like a popular place for locals to pick up their lunch from. Servers were prompt, helpful and gave advice on the menu which was very welcome.... More
