A little quieter than a full size Palm, even at peak lunch hour, and great for a private conversation. Not far from the UN building. The lunch menu was about $28/person, for app, steak and dessert -- a great deal.

Dinner at the Palm. Come very hungry. We enjoyed the cartoon walls of their best customers. We started with the baked clams oreganata which were very good. We ordered one bone in rib eye and one New York strip steak, but were tender and cooked perfectly. The potato au gratin was amazing! We were very full.

Stumbled across this restaurant on our first night in NYC. We knew we'd done the right thing by the warm welcome we recieved on arrival. We hadn't booked but were told that they would have a table ready in a few minutes. The cloakroom lady was a sweetie, she even recognised us in the street one day! The restaurant was... More

My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to have a drink and late night appetizers and we hit the right spot! The restaurant is out of the normal night life, so it is very quiet and romantic. We ordered salads, which were fantastic and had some of the best mixed drinks we have had in our visits... More

Wonderful staff, wonderful food, great NY place. Not touristy. We shared a huge steak, amazing potatoes, green beans with pancetta. Sooo good. And then, NY cheesecake. The wine was also reasonable. A must!

We went for a quick lunch near the UN. And for that it was fine. Just fine. It should be better. Service and decor were good. Food was just average.

"The Palm - NYC Too" Tradition in the Big Apple. A friend of mine had read a book some time ago when this restaurant was the scene for a chapter, and that's why we went to this place. The place has not changed over the years, so has a very vintage furniture that tells the story of this restaurant. strong... More

My wife and I have been to the Palm Restaurant on several occasions in Orlando and New York. The food has always been exceptional. This visit was slightly different. We both ordered the lobster bisque. We both found it to be very fishy tasting. We sent it back to the kitchen and they took it off the bill. My wife... More

We arrived at 7:30 and were seated promptly...that was the end of good service. We were seated in the far dining area...big tables...thunderous noise..not enjoyable. It was like a high school lunch room. We have been here many times in the past, but never seated in that room. Our waiter was nice when we could find him. Food was very... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
