Standard Middle East fare, but always fresh and tasty. Had the chicken schwarma with pita that was quite good.

I was unsure about what I should order and the cashier was very patient and helpful. I enjoyed the natural sodas and the sweet potato fries were excellent.

It's a small place. The name can be misleading as this is not a halal restaurant. Ordered falafel. They were the worst I ever had. The greasiest, blandest felafel anywhere in the world was here.

Amir's is one of my must visit whenever I am in NYC. The falafel platter or sandwich are a must try. Friendly and fast service. Great for lunch.

This place os great for a nice and affordable meal. They usually carry lunch and dinner deals, wich never surpass the 10 dollar mark, and it's all really tasty. The falafel is amazing.

I agree with Wayfarer909, since the change in ownership, this place has plummeted in quality, execution and service. It used to be a very authentic Middle Eastern cafe, simple homemade dishes, well-prepared. The people working were all family and cared about their establishment, the food they were serving and their customers. I was recently served falafel over-fried to the point... More

I've been a patron of Amir's for decades and remember with fondness when it was little more than a hole-in-the-wall that nevertheless served excellent falafel, babaganoush, hummus and the like. As Morningside Heights has gentrified I suppose it was inevitable that Amir's would change too, but in its efforts to broaden its appeal and perhaps go slightly more upscale, it... More

Came upon this place quite by accident. Great for a quick bite or takeout. We enjoyed the chicken, salads and babaganoush. Fresh and yummy.

This place is great, some of the best falafel I've ever had. Great egg salad, and awesome fries. At lunch you can get a falafel, side, and a drink for like 6 bucks. And they have draft beers too!

i remember when it was just a tiny six seat hideaway on Broadway in the early 1970's ! it offers more variety now, but is still delicious and a favorite place to stop by for a snack or a Middle Eastern meal. it was my intro to Middle Eastern foods and hardly surprising i still love that food, given the...
