Our favorite place in NYC for real southern cajun food for years. Really yummy food - everything on the menu!!! Love jambalaya, smothered eggs, and special any day. And never stop at one piece of cornbread or biscuit, it will be your loss. It's a...More

The Great Jones is an essential part of the New York City experience. Food is very spicy -- even when ordering "mild" -- but very, very good. Love the staff and the ambience -- a lot of good in a small package. The sign on...More

We heve been there for happy hour and had grat bloody mary for a very reasonable price! The place is cozy, small, local and very sympathetic. The staff is friendly. The best thing was Star Trek on TV you could watch while sipping the bloody...More

The colorful exterior caught my eyes as I was walking up The Bowery. Inside is dark, small but very welcoming. I had a cheeseburger and bloody mary...both excellent. The assortment of music in the jukebox is supurb.

Stopped in late night and had a great burger and the jambalaya was just as good! Attentive and friendly staff, good pour on the drinks. Service was fast, music playing on the juke box set a good vibe. It's on my list for my go-to...More

Have been going to Great Jones Cafe for years. Must have my wonderful Great Jones Sazerac and fried oysters every so often. That's classic New Orleans fare but Great Jones is a lot closer than New Orleans and just as good (if not better). A...More

Description
With a bust of Elvis in the window, a bright orange paint job and Don DeLillo's similarly titled novel framed on the wall, it just oozes cool.
