I crave Gyro II's gyros on a regular basis! I live on Long Island & I've come to the city just to come here. I rave about them to everyone I know. I even brought my friend who was visiting from Australia cause she had to experience the best gyro in NYC or very possibly the entire globe! get it... More

Been eating here as a pre game ritual before NY Rangers games since the fall of 1975. Always great. The vibe hasn't changed one bit and I love it. I have eaten gyros in a dozen countries including Greece and this place is still the best. The dollar value for NYC is amazing. $9 and I was stuffed all night.

My husband and I went here for Lunch! I got gyro platter and my husband got gyro sandwich. The meat was dried out the tzatziki sauce tasted like they spilled sugar in it. We ended up throwing most of it away. Totally ruined my GYRO experience. I should have known better! The store itself is run down and dirty inside.... More

My wife and I have been going to Gyro II for the last 36 years. It never disappoints. Sure the place is a little shop worn but that's part of the charm. The staff is friendly and quick. The gyros (chicken or lamb) are wonderful and the sauce is the main attraction. It is the stop we always have to... More

The gyro are large and filled with plenty of filling. The establishment itself has lost a star because of poor restroom stall and the window view that over looked the Avenue has been covered with an electronic board. The window faces Madison Square Gardens.

I've been going to the place since the 1970s. Conveniently located across the street from Madison Square Garden it was the usual meeting place before going to a Knick or Ranger game or a concert. 40 years later, I always make it a point to stop over when in town. The secret is in the sauce. I always order my... More

I first discovered Gyro II after a Jethro Tull concert at Madison Square Garden in 1973. I was immediately taken by the tender lamb strips and the unique tasting sauce. Although I left New York for Arizona many years ago, I never miss a chance to visit Gyro II whenever I am back on the east coast. Amazingly, the gyros... More

Best Gryo in Manhattan! Nothing else compares. Delicious pita; fresh lettuce and tomatoe, and the sauce is very unique and the best sauce ever. A little on the sweet side, so some may not like it, but I do.
