My son had a fantastic pork chop, and I tried their new shrimp, grits, and sausage dish with lobster consommé. What a great mixture of tastes! My wife had the best crab cake she's had in years. Very friendly service.

Had a pre-theater dinner here. We told them we had a curtain to make and service was excellent. Not rushed but we got out in plenty of time. Wide range of choices on menu. Great burgers.

We were too late to reserve a table at Joe Alan tonight after seeing wonderful play, "Ernest Shackleton Loves Me." So we took our chances and got two excellent seats at the bar, the northwest-most and the seat next to it – perfect privacy in...More

Nice American restaurant in midtown. Worth checking out. The menu is small but they do the food justice.

We ate here prior to going to the Theater. Wonderful ambience and dining experience. The food was good too. It's a bit expensive, but the location can't be beat. It's just one block from all the theaters. Reservations needed. it was packed at 5 pm...More

Brunch is served until 3:00 p.m. after which the full menu is available. The brunch is basically "order off the menu" from limited choices. The food is well prepared and presented but the prospect of more choices on the full menu make waiting until 3:00...More

This was my first time at Joe Allen. We dined in a group of 5 and had a very nice meal that was perfectly paced for the pre-theatre crowd. As a vegetarian, I'd love to see a couple more items on the menu. I ended...More

How far in advance can I book reservations? Tried today for December 70th and the web site said it was too early to book.

I find it usually depends on the day of the week and the time you want to go . Pre and post theatre hours are the busiest for them and the most difficult to get reservations. A week out you should have no issues
