we had dinner there earlier this week. Once we told staff we did not have show time pressure, the service was well paced and the food was very good. small, cozy place... could be very romantic if they'd either dim the lights a bit or...More

Well-located in the theater district, and attractively decorated with faux-Pompeian frescoes, Lattanzi is a pleasant-enough place to eat before or after theater. The cuisine is influenced by Roman-Jewish cooking, but it is quite uneven. The carciofi alla giudia -- "Jewish artichokes" -- were tasty enough,...More

Tell the host that you are or are not going to a play or theater production and your meal will be timed accordingly. They are geared for that kind of responsiveness to the customer, but also have an excellent fare which is why you would...More

Lattanzi serves classic Italian choices in a nice setting on the way to the shows on Broadway. I had chicken capriccioso, a dish I had never tried before, and it was nice. I also enjoyed a butterbean soup. Others in my party had tuna carpaccio,...More

Was looking forward to good Italian food. It was ok. Menu seemed very limited. Waiter was nice and had a good sense of humor. Had Jewish artichokes for an appetizer. Why Jewish and not Italian really not sure. Restaurant was crowded, tables were on top...More

This is a very acceptable Italian place, especially considering it’s in Times Square. It’s smallish and very bustling and our service was reasonable, but not charming. In fact, no one was particularly striking for being warm or charming, but instead adequate with hints of friendliness....More

We grabbed last minute dinner reservations here for dinner and were so happy we did. We were sat in a cozy room toward the back and had great service. My husband had the Bolognese and swore it was the best pasta he’s ever had! My...More

This is an old-fashioned Italian restaurant with courtly manners and great food. Two of us had the gnocchi with artichoke which was delicious! The bread was good as were the salads (not included). On a Wednesday night the place was packed both post and pre-...More

The filet mignon was cooked to perfection - medium rare. The lamb chops were just perfect. For dessert we had napoleon and was sublime. The service couldn’t have been perfect. Five stars all round.

Food was good and 4 out of 6 at our table were very happy with our meals. Disappointed that any restaurant in Manhattan can run out of cannoli's for dessert - really?? Watch the tipping at the bottom of the receipt if you split a...More

The men were dressed in sport coats and slacks and the women in skirts, pants and nice tops ... not super dressy but nice. Many of the clientele are headed to the theater after dinner.

Now in the 25th year, this "winning" Restaurant Row Italian is renowned for its "Roman style specialties". (Don't miss "those fried artichokes"), "gracious services" and "after the theater" crowd departs for a more relaxed meal.
